Gillian K. Adams, M.D.
Dr. Gillian Louise Kaplin Adams is a proud and honored member of the American Academy of Family Practice. She has been Board certified in Family Practice since 1993. She grew up in Alexandra Virginia and graduated from TC ("Remember the Titans") Williams High School after which she earned a degree from The George Washington University, "With Distinction". She then worked at the National Institutes of Health/Frederick Caner Research Facility for one year as a research assistant where she was a coauthor on a paper concerning Human Retroviruses. She attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and moved to Baltimore Maryland in 1990 to do her residency in Family Practice at Franklin Square Hospital Center. She has been thrilled to be a Family Practitioner at Plumtree Family Health Center since 1993. Dr. Adams has been awarded the honors of Family Physician of the Year, one of Baltimore's Best Family Physicians in Baltimore magazine and Best Physician in Harford County Magazine for the years 2008, 2008 and 2010. She published a paper in the American Family Physician on the treatment of Depression and has been a National speaker on Mental Health issues in Primary Care. She lives in Harford County, has children in Harford County Schools and cannot say enough about the rewarding and amazing experience it is to help and serve patients in the community.
